For most of us, winter is well and truly upon us and the golfing season has sadly come to an end.
If you’re fortunate to live in warmer climates then you won’t even have golfing seasons! But for the rest of us that unfortunately have to live and play by the weather, this means we sadly have to put our clubs away and forget about golf for a good few months!
Okay, okay it’s not really that bad. Mind you, I’m in St Andrews in Scotland and the weather here today is dreadful. Bitter cold winds, grey skies, freezing, lashing rain…..I could go on. Check out the live webcam coming straight from The Old Course right here, right now! http://www.standrews.com/webcams/
Anyway, what I want to say is that although many of us put our clubs away over winter, we still needn’t forget about getting into shape for next year. Go ahead and put your clubs away, but get out your yoga mat and dust off your Swiss Balls, because we’re going to get FIT FOR GOLF 2008!!!
Do you want to seriously impress your friends, impress yourself, become the longest driver or the perfect putter? Well get serious to get fit over winter and you can do all of those things.
I’m just about to post loads of stretches onto my website www.extremegolffitness.com where you can start with your winter training.
Don’t forget FLEXIBILITY IS THE KEY TO A GREAT GOLF SWING. Start with a stretching program and next week, we’ll discuss the next step towards playing fantastic golf.
